Privacy Policy

This policy describes how SMG Media Enterprises, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, doing business as Sanford Group ("Sanford Group," "we," "us"), handles information when you visit sanfordgroup.ai (the "Site"). The Site is a capability and marketing site for a professional services practice. There are no accounts, no logins, no payments and no forms on it.

What we collect

What you choose to send us

Every contact point on the Site is an email link. If you write to us, we receive what you put in the message, including your name, address and anything you attach. We use it to reply and to manage the conversation that follows. Please read the note on confidential information in our Terms of Use before sending anything sensitive.

Technical data from serving the Site

Our hosting and network providers process limited technical data in order to deliver and secure pages, which typically includes IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the referring URL. The Site is hosted on Vercel and its domain is served through Cloudflare. Both act as service providers to us and handle this data under their own terms.

Analytics

In production the Site runs Vercel Web Analytics, which reports aggregate page traffic. Vercel documents this product as not using cookies and not tracking visitors across sites. We use it to see which pages are read, not to identify anyone.

A small number of unlisted pages prepared for named recipients include a video served by Mux. When that video plays, Mux Data records playback information such as play events, how much was watched, browser and device type and approximate location derived from IP address. Its cookies are turned off on this Site. We use it to see whether a video we sent was watched, not to track anyone elsewhere.

There is no advertising pixel, no tag manager, no session recording and no cross-site tracking on the Site. Typefaces are self-hosted at build time, so loading a page does not call a font provider.

Cookies

The Site itself does not set cookies. If that changes, this section changes with it and the date at the top of the page moves.

How we use it

• Understanding in aggregate which pages are useful
• Replying to messages you send us

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use information from the Site to build advertising profiles.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers who help us run the Site and our email, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect rights, safety or security. Prospective engagements are discussed under separate agreements, and any confidentiality terms in those agreements govern the information exchanged under them.

Retention

Analytics data is retained on our provider's schedule. Correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation and ordinary business records require, then archived or deleted in the normal course.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Email steve@sanfordgroup.ai and we will respond. We may need to verify who you are before we act on a request.

International visitors

We operate from the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, information relating to your visit may be processed in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate.

External links

The Site links to third parties, including LinkedIn and contero.ai. Their practices are their own; review their policies before you share anything with them.

Children

The Site is aimed at organisations and the people who work in them. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be described rather than made silently.
